Amphibians in The United States

There are appoximately 300 amphibians in the United States. More than half of that belongs to the Urodela (Cuadata) order – better known as Salamanders. The rest fall into the Anura order, also known as Frogs and Toads.

Sadly, the U.S. in one of the few places that Gymnophiona don’t inhabit. Gymnophiona, also known as Caecilians, are Amphibians that have an appearance similar to worms.
